"You have to want to be better!"- Hans
I awake to this thought every day- I want to be better!
At whatever it is that I want to be better, I will work constantly and tirelessly along the journey to become better. It's a self-improvement mindset. I will spend money, time, energy, and emotion to be better.
Some of you know that I took up playing the Bass Guitar this year. I will perform in a live show on February 23rd... less than 12 months from picking it up for the first time. I have to get better every day. It takes allocating time and money. It requires continuous energy and emotion.
When it comes to college, parents and kids need to be better. But how will that happen?
It happens through applying our Power Principle # 4
The Secret to Success-
Build a foundation of sustainable habits, centered around a mindset for self-improvement.
This concept goes back a long way. My parents were raised with it, as was I, and my children. But it seems to have gotten lost in the busy world in which we live.
Not so for me and my CollegeLogic families. We practice self-improvement centered around developing routine habits. It is to awake each day and settle in your mind one simple thing you can do better today. Apply it today, then turn that simple thing into a habit.
